Event Description

Welcome to Buffalo Float 2016! Buffalo Float is a kayak & canoe float event that will benefit the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

*Registrants will launch kayaks & canoes from multiple launch points on the Buffalo River and Outer Harbor waterway beginning as early as 8AM, 10AM officially. We will meet in the Outer Harbor inside the break-wall across from Wilkeson Pointe forming a free float raft beginning at approximately 11:00AM. We'll attempt to create the largest free floating mass of kayaks and canoes that Western New York has ever seen!

*Only registered participants that have signed waivers will have access to the Outer Harbor gathering area of the free float. Coast Guard will be on site at both ends of the float.

After the float, all participants are invited to the after event party at Buffalo Riverworks (359 Ganson St.) for a drink, food, basket raffle, backyard games, kayak demo's, live music and more.

We encourage participants to bring their own kayak or canoe. Rentals will be available, however they are not included in your registration for the event. We encourage those renting to reserve a vessel as quickly as possible to ensure availability.
